Several shore parishes will celebrate the Wedding of the Sea on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
On Saturday, Aug. 14, at 4:30 p.m., Bishop Dennis Sullivan will celebrate a Vigil Mass for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Wildwood’s Notre Dame de la Mer Parish, Saint Ann Church (2901 Atlantic Ave.). On Sunday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m., Bishop Sullivan will celebrate Mass on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Church (1409 Pacific Ave.), The Parish of Saint Monica, Atlantic City. A procession will proceed up Saint James Place to the Boardwalk, continuing to the ocean at New York Avenue for the Wedding of the Sea ceremony. More info: www.ACCatholic.org.
