Meteorologist Carol Erickson of CBS 3 and The CW Philly visited St. Joseph Elementary School, Hammonton, on Tuesday, Jan. 26, to read her children’s book, “Not A Used Dog, At All,” to the second graders. Parents also were invited to attend. Erickson is a passionate animal rights advocate and her book, released this year by AuthorHouse, encourages adoption of shelter dogs. Profits from the book benefit animal shelters and rescue groups locally. Left photo, Erickson poses for a photo with members of St. Joseph High School National Honor Society, who invited her to St. Joseph, school personnel, and Lillie, a dog up for adoption. Right photo, Jeffrey Umosello and Mason Morano read Erickson’s book.
