Dignitaries, families, military members and others joined the Knights of Columbus Sancta Familia Council #11498 on Nov. 9 to honor forgotten veterans. Flags were placed to represent the number of veterans who die by their own hand every month, as the Knights wanted to draw attention to mental health issues faced by servicemen and women. The event was held at Washington Lake Park, Sewell. Albert Fratteli, a retired medic in the Army, top left, was among those to help place flags.
