More than a dozen priests, clergy and laity from the Diocese of Camden were among those welcomed into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem during an Investiture and Promotion Mass celebrated Oct. 15 in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, New York. Cardinal Timothy Dolan, archbishop of New York, celebrated the Mass in which dozens from other dioceses were also invested. The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, which dates back to the time of the First Crusade, is charged with serving “as witnesses to the Christian faith and supporters and protectors of the Church and the living Christian communities in the Holy Land.”
