Bishop Dennis Sullivan, clergy and religious joined those of all ages for “A Prelude to Christmas” under the direction of Jonathan Delgado, parish director of music and liturgy, and a Holy Nativity presentation Dec. 18 at Assumption Church, Wildwood Crest, a worship site of Notre Dame de La Mer Parish. Faithful from ages 5 through 85 participated in the evening of music and faith, with the parish’s three choirs – children, adult and contemporary ensemble – singing traditional, modern and spiritual songs of the season accompanied by professional musicians. Children dressed in costume presented the show’s finale – the Nativity and telling of Jesus’ Birth. The evening was livestreamed by the Catholic Star Herald, a co-sponsor of the event.
