Knights sponsoring buses for March for Life in Washington

Buses will be departing the Diocese of Camden on Jan. 20 for the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.

The theme of this year’s event is “Next Steps: Marching in a Post-Roe America.” This is the 50th anniversary of the March for Life; it’s the first march to be held after the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion.

Bus info by county:

Atlantic County, Cape May County and Cumberland County

A bus is being sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Rev. Francis P. Araneo Chapter and the Cape May County New Jersey Right to Life. There is no fee, but passengers are asked to bring their own meals/refreshments and contribute at least $5 each toward a tip for the driver. Reservations are required. 6 a.m. – Depart Toni Morrison Service Area, milepost 18 Garden State Parkway, Ocean View

6:30 a.m. – Depart Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon

7:30 a.m. – Depart Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland

4 p.m. – Depart National Mall, Washington

Camden County, Haddon Heights

A bus is being sponsored by Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 1443. Cost is $15 per person. To reserve a seat, contact the Saint Rose of Lima Parish rectory at 856-547-0564. There will be no stops on the southbound trip and one stop on the return trip. The schedule is as follows:

8:30 a.m. – Depart from the CVS parking lot at Kings Highway and White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights

8 p.m. – Return from Washington

Camden County, Blackwood

A bus is sponsored by Knights of Columbus Holy Crusaders Council 9193. A $20 donation per person is being asked. For reservations and details, contact Jeff Lilley at 856-281-5117. The schedule is as follows:

7:30 a.m. – Depart from Our Lady of Hope Parish, 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood

7:30 p.m. – Return from Washington

Gloucester County

A bus is being sponsored by Knights of Columbus Incarnation Council 6364, Saint Margaret Council 13259, Holy Name Council 12503 and Saint Francis Council 7526. Passengers are asked to bring tip money for the driver. Light refreshments will be served about mid-way to Washington. To reserve a seat, contact Bob LaPalomento at 856-994-3476 or the Church of the Incarnation Parish office at 856-468-1314. A $20 donation per adult is encouraged in advance and can be dropped off at the parish office along with the name of each person attending and a cell phone number. Make checks payable to Incarnation Council 6364 Inc. The schedule is as follows:

7 a.m. – Mass at Incarnation Church, 240 Main St., Mantua

7:45 a.m. – Bus departs from Incarnation Church
