Mike Walsh, the associate publisher of the Catholic Star Herald, is among the six media experts elected to the Catholic Media Association’s Board of Directors.
As a member of the board, Walsh – who was elected newspaper publisher member – will assist in providing leadership, advocacy and expertise in support of Catholic media professionals and organizations across the nation.
“I am genuinely honored,” said Walsh, who also serves as the diocesan Secretariat for Communications. “Since I joined the Diocese of Camden as communications director seven years ago, I have found the CMA to be an incredibly valuable organization, not just for its ability to educate professional communicators like me, but to bring us together – both virtually and physically – to consider the state of Catholic journalism and communications in today’s world.
“I look forward to fostering the good work of the CMA and its members for the next few years as we strive to more widely bring Catholic news and information to all people,” he continued.
Of the six members elected this year, five are new to the Board of Directors. They will serve three-year terms beginning June 8.
