The nation’s largest professional organization of theologians and scholars of religion, the American Academy of Religion, will be hosting its annual conference for the Mid-Atlantic, New England and Maritime regions in New Brunswick, March 15-16. Panels will be given in a host of areas, including the study of religion where it touches the arts, multiculturalism, pop culture, gender, psychology, history, and ethics. As usual, a wide variety of religious traditions will be represented. Star Herald columnist Michael Canaris is on the executive board and serves as the section chair for contemporary theology.
