A recently adopted resolution by the Cherry Hill Planning Board allows Lourdes Health System to move forward with its plans to retrofit the massive vacant building and lot on the corner of Brace Road and Route 70 into what will become a 54,000 square foot ambulatory care center.
For more than four decades, the space located at 1 Brace Road in Cherry Hill served as, among other uses, a supermarket and department store to area shoppers. Come early next year, the location will offer a full-range of medical services.
“Our goal as a healthcare provider is to keep patients out of the hospital and closer to home,” said Alexander J. Hatala, President and CEO of Lourdes Health System. “The new ambulatory care facility will allow us to achieve this goal by expanding healthcare services in the South Jersey community so that patients can focus on many facets of their health in one central location.”
The center will be the primary office location for Lourdes Cardiology Services with advanced subspecialty programs such as Congestive Heart Failure Center. It will also house physician offices for cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery services.
