Susan Elizabeth Davis, 79, the wife of retired Deacon Russell Davis, has died.
A resident of Millville, she spent years as a special education teacher with Millville Public Schools. Her passion for education and her genuine care for her students left an indelible mark on countless lives. Her many other passions included nurturing flowers and gardening, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
A woman of deep faith, Davis contributed her time to Saint John Bosco Parish, now All Saints Parish in Millville, serving as a Eucharistic minister, lector, RCIA teacher, funeral ministry volunteer and as a teacher for English for Speakers of Other Languages. She also supported her husband in his ministry as a deacon.
“Susan’s life was a testament to love, dedication and service to others. Her unwavering devotion, generous heart and unconditional love will be remembered forever,” her family remembered in announcing her death.
She is survived by her husband, Deacon Russell O. Davis Jr.; her sons, Dr. Russell O. Davis III (Marybeth), Dr. Brian Davis (Kelly), and Matthew Davis (Katherine); and her grandchildren, Declan, Drew, Brooke, Delany, Ryan, Samuel and Mateo.
