Bishop Joseph A. Galante announces the retirement of Father Ronald S. Falotico, effective Dec. 1.
Father Falotico, 69, has served as parochial vicar of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel in Hammonton since 2010. In retirement, he will serve as part-time chaplain at Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill.
He was pastor at three parishes: Holy Spirit, Atlantic City (1985-96); St. Peter, Pleasantville (1996-2004); and Queen of Angels, Landisville (2004-05).
Born in Camden, Father Falotico studied at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, Emmitsburg, Md., and was ordained on May 31, 1969, in Camden by Bishop George H. Guilfoyle. His first assignment was as parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Vineland, where he stayed from 1970-74.
He also served as a parochial vicar at St. Anthony of Padua, Camden (1978-83); St. Joseph, Hammonton (2006-10).
Father Falotico also spent much of his more than 40 years as active ministry in service to Hispanic Catholics. He was assigned to the Brigeton-Millville Spanish Apostolate (1974-78); served as assistant director of the Vineland Catholic Spanish Center (1983-85); and in Hispanic Ministry at St. Nicholas, Egg Harbor City (2006-10).
He also served for a time as director of Ethnic Ministries for the Diocese of Camden.
Father Falotico also served on the Diocesan Liturgical Commission, Priests’ Council, Presbyteral Council and Marian Commission.
