Sr. Mary Innocent Dolan, RSM, 89, a Sister of Mercy who taught at Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, died Nov. 8.
She ministered in education in the dioceses of Camden, Metuchen, and Trenton. She taught at Camden Catholic from 1968-70.
Sister Mary Innocent also served as archivist for the Sisters of Mercy of New Jersey, from 1985 until her retirement in 2004.
Born in South Amboy, N.J., Sister Mary Innocent entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1946. She was a graduate of the New Jersey College for Women, New Brunswick (now Douglass College of Rutgers University). She also received a master’s degree in chemistry from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., in 1958.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 12, in St. Catherine of Siena Chapel of McAuley Hall Health Care Center. Burial was in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
