Laughter, music and applause filled the Scottish Rite Grand Ballroom in Collingswood on April 19 as hundreds gathered for the 34th annual “Afternoon of Jazz, Plus.” Sponsored by the diocesan Black Catholic Ministry Commission, the annual event raises funds to help South Jersey students pursue a Catholic high school education. During the festivities, past scholarship awardees publicly thanked their benefactors.
