Camden Catholic High School student government representatives Julia Williams-Portland and Zachary Guida, in front of students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and military veterans, place a wreath at the base of the Alumni Veterans Memorial, which was dedicated Nov. 10. Placed at the entrance to the Cherry Hill school’s Shamrock Field, and dedicated to all alumni who have served in the branches of the United States Armed Forces, the memorial includes the names of graduates who have died during their time in service. Msgr. Andrew Martin, president emeritus of Camden Catholic and celebrant of the preceding alumni veterans Mass in Grandi Auditorium, gave the blessing of the memorial. Thomas Holland, Class of 1968, U.S. Army, Command Sergeant Major, gave the salute to fallen heroes, while Patrick Gardner, Class of 2015, performed “Taps,” and Kayleigh Whitmore, Class of 2015, sang “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
