Last Saturday at Kean University in Union, the St. Joseph High School, Hammonton, football team rolled over St. Anthony of Jersey City, 55-0, winning the Non-Public I state title and adding another accomplishment to the school’s illustrious football program.
The Wildcats have won six straight titles, and 17 overall in Non-Public playoffs. They finished 11-0, the fifth time in school history that they have been undefeated state champions.
The same day, at Rutgers University in Piscataway, Holy Spirit High School, Absecon, was defeated by DePaul Catholic, 42-0, in the state Non-Public II Final. The Spartans finished 5-7 on the season.
