Bishop Dennis Sullivan addressed the Diocese of Camden’s annual Benefactors Reception held Nov. 9 at Auletto Caterers, Deptford. This was the first time the event was held since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The Benefactors Reception recognizes major donors of $1,500 and above to the House of Charity – Bishop’s Annual Appeal – and $5,000 and above to the Catholic Strong Campaign and other diocesan giving.
“We had a wonderful time and were thrilled to have had the opportunity to induct four new families into our Society of Seraphim during the Benefactors Reception this year,” said Katie Comerford-Rivera, associate director of the diocesan Office of Development.

The Society of Seraphim includes donors who have given from $50,000 to $99,999 in their lifetime. During the program, the new inductees – Deacon Russell and Mrs. Susan Davis, Mr. James and Mrs. Mariann Gilbride, Dr. Joseph and Mrs. Patricia Kuchler, and Mr. William V. and Dr. Pamela A. Polise – all received pins and were recognized by Bishop Sullivan.
“Thank you to all who attended,” said Mariann Gilbride, director of Development, adding that Auletto Caterers donated the food, drinks and venue for the evening. “It was refreshing to have the opportunity to celebrate in person nearly 200 individuals who have so generously supported the Diocese of Camden.”
