Sal Racobaldo has been named the next football coach at Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken.
Racobaldo, a 1990 Eustace graduate and current head coach of the school’s girls basketball team, takes over a program that went 4-4 in the 2023 season. He replaces Chris Pollard, who accumulated a 11-18 record in three years.
“With a rich history of excellence in both academics and athletics, we are proud to welcome Coach to lead our football program into a new era of success,” the school said in a statement.
Racobaldo played football under coach Clyde Folsom, and he was a key member of the 1987 and 1988 SJ Parochial B Championship squads. He earned individual All-Parochial and All-Conference honors and was recognized as the MVP for the 1989 squad, which he captained.
Racobaldo played baseball at the collegiate level at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a member of both FDU and Bishop Eustace’s Athletics Hall of Fame.
Racobaldo is currently in his second season as coach of the Crusaders’ girls basketball program, which went 12-17 last season and stood at 9-11 this season through Feb. 5.
