Bishop Joseph Williams celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving with the students, faculty and administration of Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Newfield on Nov. 24. Following Mass, two students presented the Bishop with a gift on behalf of the school community: an OLMA-branded tote bag that included a school windbreaker and polo shirt.
During the visit, Bishop Williams was given a tour of the school, stopping in to some science and math classrooms, joking with students along the way. After a stop at the cafeteria, he also visited the new Dana & Carmine Catalana Center for Women in Leadership with several students, Head of School Brooke Coyle, Sister Margaret Curcio, director of mission and ministry, and Nicole Donovan, director of admissions and communications.
