The Diocese of Metuchen hosted a meeting of the bishops of New Jersey on May 5 with the Hon. Craig J. Coughlin, Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly. The bishops have regular meetings to discuss issues of importance to Catholics in New Jersey, and the meeting with Speaker Coughlin covered a number of topics on the state level.
