For the spiritual wellbeing of the people of God, and for the fostering of greater devotion among the faithful during the Jubilee Year of Hope, I hereby decree and designate the Church of Saint Joseph, located at 226 French Street, Hammonton, New Jersey, the diocesan pilgrimage site for the Diocese of Camden. This designation as a pilgrimage site will begin FRIDAY, the 15th day of AUGUST 2025, and said designation will end SUNDAY the 28th day of DECEMBER 2025. The designation of Saint Joseph Church as the diocesan pilgrimage site is due to the recent canonical crowning of an image of Our Lady with Christ Child.
That the Church of Saint Joseph has been designated a pilgrimage site, in accord with the May 13, 2024, bull of the Apostolic Penitentiary, the Jubilee Plenary Indulgence from temporal punishment may be obtained by any member of the Christian faithful who visits the Church of Saint Joseph between the 15th of AUGUST 2025 and the 28th of DECEMBER 2025 who, during that visit, spend some time in Eucharistic adoration and meditation, recite the Our Father, make invocations to Mary, Mother of God, with all other conditions being fulfilled.
A copy of this decree is to be hung in the Church of Saint Joseph for all the faithful to see.
Given in Camden on this the 4th day of August 2025
