Two diocesan elementary school students performed with other students from across South Jersey on March 5 as part of the South Jersey Band & Orchestra Directors’ Junior High Band Concert at Fernwood Avenue Middle School, Egg Harbor Township. Joseph Rybacki, grade 6, from Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Berlin, played percussion, and Pavan Patel, grade 6, from Assumption Regional Catholic School, Galloway, played trumpet, as part of one of two ensembles formed for the performance. Out of 160 students accepted to the program, Rybacki and Patel were the only students selected from diocesan schools.
