St. John of God Community Services held its ninth annual Hope with Hospitality Gala at the Collingswood Grand Ballroom in Collingswood on March 13. The fundraiser – which welcomed more than 240 community members, businesses, donors, family and friends, including 14 of its clients and their families – was the largest to date. The event helps generate crucial funds to expand St. John of God Community Services programs – providing top-level care for individuals with special needs for more than 60 years – as well as expand their food pantry to support hundreds of families across South Jersey.
Receiving the Heritage Award was NEST Integrated Facilities Management. Jacob Heiser, a client of the House of John program, was also honored during the event. The gala was emceed by Jim Donovan, led by Brother Thomas Osorio, OH, and Russ Johnson, and presented by the George Family Foundation. St. John of God Community Services, Westville, offers programs such as job training, therapeutic recreation, pastoral care services, day programs, and so much more.
