
The most decorated high school baseball program in New Jersey added some new hardware to its collection.
Gloucester Catholic defeated Saint Mary-Rutherford 10-0 in six innings in the Non-Public B state championship game at Veterans Park on June 9 to win its 20th state title in school history.
Tanner Nolan’s 77-pitch gem led the way, as the senior struck out seven batters and allowed only two hits in the Rams’ dominant performance. Tyler Bunting and Jake Terranova each drove in three runs while Sal Serici (two doubles) knocked in a pair.
In addition to winning the state title, the Rams also won a division title and the Joe Hartmann South Jersey Diamond Classic. Gloucester Catholic finished the season with a 24-7 overall record.
