Math teacher Jennifer Lutek gets it in the face with a whipped cream pie during the Pi Day celebration at Sacred Heart High School, Vineland. Lutek and another teacher being at the messy end of flying desserts was the reward for classes that brought in the most donations for a canned food drive. Pi Day is an annual celebration commemorating the mathematical constant π (pi), the ratio between the circumference and diameter of a circle. It is observed on March 14 (3/14), because 3, 1 and 4 are the first three digits of π when it is written as a decimal.
