Camden Catholic High School announced a change in the girls soccer program, as Cathy Johnson stepped down as head coach after eight years.
During her time at Camden Catholic, Johnson won 54 games, including three playoff games. In 2020, during a pandemic-shortened season, the Irish were finalists in the South West E championship game. Camden Catholic is coming off a 6-13 season.
On April 7, Camden Catholic posted on its social media outlets: “Coach Cathy’s impact on our student-athletes both on and off the field has been immeasurable. Thank you Coach Cathy!”
Andy Bairner is taking over as head coach for the 2025-26 season. Bairner has been an assistant coach with the program for the last three years.
