Parishioners from the Parish of the Holy Cross in Bridgeton prayed a multi-lingual living rosary at the Church of the Immaculate Conception on May 28 for the intentions of the unity of the family and vocations. Pastor Father Vince Guest explained that “in this Year of the Family we want to gather all of our parishioners to pray for and with each other.” Father Guest stated that “we are a multi-lingual and diverse community but we are united in the love of our Catholic faith.” Worshippers held candles, and as each Hail Mary was prayed a parishioner’s candle was lit. The rosary was prayed in Spanish, English, Italian, Polish and German. Future events for the family at Holy Cross include a novena to St. Anne in July to pray for grandparents and a children’s liturgy in the fall. Photo by James A. McBride
