Seniors throughout the Diocese of Camden are invited to a Fall Fling on Oct. 31 to celebrate the season together.
The fun will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Incarnation Parish’s Kernan Center in Mantua.
Sponsored by the VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services Diocese of Camden and Incarnation’s Prime Time Seniors Social Day Center, the event will include dancing, music, food and door prizes. Halloween costumes are also encouraged, as there will be prizes awarded for best dressed.
Deacon Jerry Jablonowski, executive director of VITALity, calls the occasion “an important one,” as it falls under the office’s three pillars of caring for seniors: medical, expressed by helping seniors understand their needs and care coordination; spiritual, through special liturgies such as centenarian and healing Masses; and social, where seniors can enjoy camaraderie, have a good time and live life to the fullest.
He adds that celebrations like the Fall Fling assist those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend social gatherings.
The Kernan Center at Incarnation Parish is located at 240 Main St. in Mantua. The cost is $10 per person. Space is limited, so RSVP by Sunday, Oct. 29, to VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services at VITALity-Events@camdendiocese.org or at 856-583-6121.
