Sister Alice Regina Martin, who taught at Queen of Heaven School, Cherry Hill from 1998-2001, died in Camilla Hall, Immaculata, Pa., on May 19.
The former Theresa Marie Martin was born in Philadelphia. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1939 from St. John the Baptist Parish, Philadelphia and professed her first vows in 1942.
In addition to Queen of Heaven, Sister Alice Regina taught elementary school in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the dioceses of Harrisburg, Pa., and Richmond, Va. She retired to Camilla Hall in 2001 where her ministry was the Apostolate of Prayer.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at Camilla Hall on May 26. Interment followed in the Immaculata Cemetery.
In addition to members of her religious community, she is survived by three nephews and numerous grandnephews and grandnieces.
