
Sister Josephine Ridolfo, M.P.F., died Nov. 2, 2021, at Saint Joseph Hall, Villa Walsh, Morristown. She was 92.
In her 73 years of religious life, Sister Josephine served as a catechist, pastoral minister, teacher, principal and director of religious education in nine dioceses, including the Diocese of Camden. She served as director of religious education in what was then Saint Vincent Pallotti Parish in Haddonfield from 1992 to 2011, and assisted at Paul VI High School, also Haddonfield, from 2011 to 2015.
Born in Montclair, Sister Josephine entered the Religious Teachers Filippini in 1947. She received the habit in 1948 and made her religious profession in 1951.
Sister Josephine studied elementary education, earning a bachelor of science degree from Catholic Teachers’ College in Providence, R.I., and a master’s degree from Seton Hall University, South Orange.
One of four children, Sister Josephine is survived by her brother Sebastian and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 8. She was buried at Ave Maria Cemetery at Villa Walsh.
