Whether sharing their talents through song and stage, or collecting items for those in need, the faithful of the Diocese – and beyond – spent time this December bringing goodwill to the community in preparation of the Savior’s Birth.

Emmy-nominated actor Frank Runyeon brought his gifts to Saint Mary of Mount Carmel’s Saint Joseph Church in Hammonton on Dec. 5, during the parish’s “Let There Be Light” Advent mission. In two one-man shows, “Luke: Stories on the Road” and “Sermon/Hollywood vs. Faith,” Runyeon brought the sacred Scripture to life in dramatic and humorous performances. Runyeon, a television star for more than 30 years, is a practicing Catholic and Princeton University graduate who studied at Yale Divinity School and then went on to earn a master’s degree from General Theological Seminary, N.Y. Dumoff)With the help of parishioners from Saint Vincent de Paul Parish in Mays Landing, Knights of Columbus Council #3451 delivered two pickup truck loads of donations Dec. 17 to the Women’s Center in Galloway. Among the items donated were diapers, pull-ups, new clothes, toys and bicycles.
