SWAINTON – Holy Redeemer’s Cape May Healthy Families program invites all alumni families and current and past employees to celebrate 15 years of healthy family success in Cape May County. The picnic commemorating the parent education program’s milestone anniversary will be held at the Cape May County Zoo Shelter #3 on Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Holy Redeemer’s Cape May Healthy Families, a parent education and child abuse prevention program for families in southern New Jersey, has served Cape May County as a home visitation service for local families interested in improving their child’s health, nutrition and development since 1996.
The Cape May Healthy Families chapter, affiliated with Healthy Families America and Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey, is led by Holy Redeemer Health System and is a program of Holy Redeemer HomeCare and Hospice of New Jersey.
Cape May Healthy Families, a free and voluntary service, provides information on health care education, literacy and parenting tips to first-time parents with young children.
“Cape May Healthy Families has supported more than 500 families in Cape May County through education since its start,” said Healthy Families program director and supervisor Peggy Smith of Holy Redeemer Health System. “I am very proud that Holy Redeemer is supporting such a beneficial program that helps so many Cape May County families obtain the necessary tools and information they need for a successful start in life.”
Holy Redeemer HomeCare and Hospice of New Jersey’s Cape May Healthy Families program is one of two Holy Redeemer affiliated Healthy Families chapters in New Jersey.
