Bishop Joseph Williams celebrated Mass on April 30 for students, faculty and families of Saint Margaret Regional School, Woodbury Heights, as well as parishioners from Infant Jesus Parish. During his homily, Bishop Williams reflected on the Easter story, highlighting Mary Magdalene’s role as the “apostle to the apostles,” and reminding students of their own call to be disciples who share God’s love and message with others. At the conclusion of Mass, the school surprised Bishop Williams with an early birthday celebration, presenting him with a special gift before the entire school sang “Happy Birthday.” He also spent time with members of the administration and student council while enjoying light refreshments and birthday cake. Before departing, he received a sneak peek at several middle school science fair projects and visited classrooms, where he was treated to previews of the kindergarten graduation song along with more birthday wishes and handmade cards.
