At the beginning of the month, Gloucester Catholic High School hosted its first Mother Daughter Retreat with 33 mother-daughter pairs committed to deepening their bond with each other and God. The retreat included a High Tea with all the traditional goodies and spiritual prayer bouquets. Student Talia Shumate, seen below with her mom and sister, called the retreat a powerful and meaningful experience. “It’s always nice to slow down and really appreciate what a person like my mom does in my life. I’m grateful she got to hear how much I appreciate her.”

Fellow student Mary Morrison, below, said, “I felt that the retreat helped me to grow closer in my relationship with my mom as well as with God.”
