Young adults throughout the Diocese of Camden are invited to an upcoming weekend retreat to relax, share the Catholic faith with peers, and recognize their God-given talents.
The retreat, titled “Come To Discover The Gifts That God Has Given You,” will take place from Friday, Feb. 5 – Sunday, Feb. 7 at St. Pius X Spiritual Life Center in Blackwood. All young adults, ages 18-39, single or married, are welcome.
“As young adults, we are very busy with our jobs, or schoolwork, but we need time to put ourselves in God’s presence. We are important for God; he wants us to be an active part of the church,” remarked Andres Arango, director of Young Adult Ministries for the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation, Diocese of Camden.
“The retreat will be a chance to experience Jesus and discover the gifts we have, and learn how to use them in the community and in the church, so we feel the call to be disciples and missionaries.”
Starting on Friday at 4:30 p.m., the retreat will end around noon on Sunday. The cost is $80, but scholarships are available for those finding a financial hardship.
The retreat is sponsored by the Camden Diocesan Offices of Community Relations and Lifelong Faith Formation-Young Adult Ministries.
