Knights of Columbus Saint Catherine of Siena Council #6890 (Parish of Saint Michael the Archangel, Franklinville) recently helped one of their own complete his Eagle Scout Project.
Knight Isaac Mignano completed 6 benches and 4 cat towers for Oasis Animal Sanctuary, a non-kill shelter in Franklinville for horses, donkeys, cats, dogs, and any other animal in need.
Mignano’s council made a donation to help buy materials for his project, and his brother Knights helped with the pick-up and assembly of the material for the benches and towers. The benches, set up around the farm, allow volunteers and visitors to rest and spend time with the animals.
With the money left over from his fundraising drive, of which over $1000 was raised, Mignano donated it to Oasis Animal Sanctuary for their continued efforts in providing food and shelter to animals.
