The Diocese of Camden’s Summer in the City program is back this August, giving South Jersey’s high school youth the opportunity to spend seven days in service, faith and reflection.
From Aug. 13 to 19, participants will reside at Absecon’s Blessed Carlo Acutis Youth Center, spending their days serving those in need throughout the Diocese at locations including the Father Benedict House, food banks and soup kitchens, and the evenings engaged in prayer, Eucharistic Adoration and fellowship.
In living the Gospel of service and social justice with their talents and abilities, helping their neighbor, young people will become more aware of the rights and dignity of every person, organizers said.
Registration for Summer in the City is $170, and includes meals, lodging and program materials. For more information, call 856-583-2908, or e-mail Jose.Rodriguez@camdendiocese.org. Space is limited, and registration is on a first come, first serve basis.
