A church full of parishioners braved the weekend’s rainy weather to witness Bishop Dennis Sullivan formally install Msgr. Peter Joyce as pastor of Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Sicklerville.
On Sept. 23, Msgr. Joyce took the oath as pastor and joined Bishop Sullivan in signing the formal paperwork on the altar of the church. He was also greeted by smiles, handshakes and warm embraces as he thanked members of the parish’s clergy, staff, pastoral council, finance council and trustees for their service. With fellow priests and clergy in attendance, Bishop Sullivan congratulated and blessed Msgr. Joyce for his continuing ministry and thanked him for his dedicated service as a pastor, having worked so successfully with the parishioners of his prior assignment at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Marmora to help it become a vibrant community.
