Father Anthony L. Minniti, a retired priest of the Diocese of Camden, died Dec. 26. He was 80.

A student of the North American College, Rome, Father Minniti was ordained to the priesthood by Cardinal James A. Hickey on Dec. 18, 1970, in Vatican City.
His first assignment was as parochial vicar at Transfiguration Parish in West Collingswood (1971-74). He served as a pastor in Saint Ann, Elmer (1994-2000), and Saint John, Paulsboro (2000-2008).
Father Minniti also served as secretary to Auxiliary Bishop James A. Schad and was a religion teacher at Saint James High School in Carneys Point.
In addition to Transfiguration Parish, he was a parochial vicar in Saint Rose of Lima, Haddon Heights (1974-76); Most Holy Redeemer, Westville Grove (1977-82); Saint Michael, Gibbstown (1982-85); Saint Rose of Lima, Newfield (1985-88); Saint Mary, Williamstown (1988-93), and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Absecon (1993-94).
He retired from active ministry in 2010 after serving as senior priest in Saint John, Collingswood (2008-2010).
A visitation is planned for 10 a.m. Dec. 29 at Saint Clare of Assisi Parish, Saint Michael Church, 320 Memorial Ave., Gibbstown. A Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Bishop Dennis Sullivan, will follow at 11 a.m. Msgr. Louis A. Marucci, pastor of Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish, Gibbsboro, will be the homilist.
Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Swedesboro.
