Anna Wolfe dies Oct. 28

Anna Wolfe died Oct. 28, at the age of 84. She was the sister of Father Robert V. Smith, a retired priest of the Diocese of Camden.

Graduating as Valedictorian from the former Harrisburg Catholic High School, Class of 1946, after raising her family, she worked for the PA Department of Health and Welfare for 10 years before retiring. In addition to being a wife, mother and grandmother, she provided care for foster children. She was a Girl Scout leader, an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish and later Good Shepherd Parish, and a volunteer for an adult literacy program.

She is survived by her children; sons Mark R. Wolfe, III, of Mechanicsburg, and Frank G. Wolfe of Dauphin; daughters Patricia Dubs of Mechanicsburg, Irene Edmunds and husband Thomas of Linglestown, Margaret Peay and husband Terry of Glenmoore, Teresa Bruno and husband James of Harrisburg, Ann Marie Paisley and husband Bruce of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mary Rieker and husband Kerry of Etters. Her grandchildren include Heather Naylor, Alicia Benson, Lauren Morgan, Andrew and Emily Dubs, Nathan Edmunds, Jared and Bennett Krantz, Terry Peay, J.D. and Cecelia Bruno, Erin and John Wolfe, Brandon and Preston Paisley, and Brittany, Carly and Kerry Kyle Rieker, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Anna is also survived by her sister, Frances Rozman and husband Louis (Steelton), brother, Father Smith, and sister-in-law, Sister Patricia Ann Wolfe, IHM (Philadelphia), and 12 nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 6190 Allentown Boulevard, Harrisburg, Pa. Interment will be private at Fort Indiantown GAP National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the PA Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association , 3544 N. Progress Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
