The community of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Turnersville, came together June 29 for faith, unity and mission as they were asked to reflect on the legacy of these two apostles.
“Saint Peter reminds us that even in our weakness, God calls us to lead. Saint Paul shows us that hope is never lost when we turn to Christ,” Bishop Joseph Williams preached during the Mass he celebrated for the parish’s feast day. He led all in prayer, urging the faithful to have courage to follow in the apostles’ footsteps, building up the Church through love, truth and unity.

After Mass, Bishop Williams met parishioners and enjoyed the parish picnic festivities on the feast of Saints Peter and Paul. “Together, we are a family that is nourished by the sacraments and inspired to live the Gospel in our daily lives,” Father Yvans Jazon, pastor, said during Mass. He is seen at left above, along with Father Tomy Thomas, parochial vicar, and Deacon Frank Campisi.
