For much of his adult life, Father Ken Geraci lived the Gospel story of the Prodigal Son.
Raised Catholic, he ended up leaving the Church, chasing after fortune and founding a $4.5 million software company.
Focused now on the external pleasures of money, fitness and success, he forgot God. But God didn’t forget him.
Father Geraci, now a Father of Mercy, will bring his story of rebirth in the faith to Brigantine for three evenings this month July 21-23, for Saint Thomas the Apostle’s Parish Mission and Healing Service.
In sharing his story of turning points, spiritual battles and revelations – as well as asking himself, “What is Truth?” – Father Geraci will reveal his return to belief in God, then Christianity, and eventually back to the Catholic Church.
Joining the Fathers of Mercy in 2006, he was ordained in 2012. He currently serves as missionary, webmaster and vocation director for the Kentucky-based Marian Congregation of Pontifical Rite, which is committed to the salvation of souls through parish missions.
Father Geraci is the author of two books, “Why Be Catholic” (2021) and “Spiritual Warfare & Divine Mercy,” (2023), both published by TAN books.
Noting that the priest’s message will be relevant to those of all ages, at any stage in their life and faith journey, Father Edward Maher, pastor of Saint Thomas the Apostle, said that Father Geraci’s story is proof that “amidst the problems of life, the answer is always Jesus.”
The “Why Be Catholic” Parish Mission and Healing Service will take place July 21-23 at Saint Thomas the Apostle Parish, 331 8th Street South. Confession is at 6 p.m. each night, and the main program begins at 7 p.m. For more information, contact the parish office at 609-266-2123.
