Parishioners from Camden’s Saint Joseph Polish Apostolate participated in the 92nd annual Pulaski Day Parade in Philadelphia. The apostolate’s float was in honor of Msgr. Arthur B. Strenski, who served as pastor at Saint Joseph’s Church in South Camden from 1934-66 and as pastor emeritus until his death in 1980.
Serving as grand marshals for the float were Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception’s rector, Father Adam Cichoski, and the parish business manager, Agnieszka Maj, who are pictured below with 6ABC news anchor Alicia Vitarelli. Vitarelli hosted the television broadcast of the parade. The parade – which honors Polish-American culture and the legacy of Gen. Casimir Pulaski, who fought in the American Revolutionary War and once saved the life of George Washington – marched down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Oct. 5.
