Faith, Women and the New Feminism April 5 in Pennsauken

“Catholic women – come discover what it means to be a beloved daughter of God who is calling each of us to go deeper in our relationship with him. Come together in unity with women of all ages and cultures to celebrate your life-giving role as nurturer of faith-filled and meaningful relationships that positively influence families, friends and communities”.
So says a Cheryl Foti, who has organized large scale evangelistic events for Catholic women and is now residing in the Camden Diocese.
Together with her husband Paul, Cheryl is spear-heading an event called Faith, Women and the New Feminism at Mary, Queen of All Saints Parish in Pennsauken to be held on Saturday, April 5.
She calls this “an event,” not a conference, because the focus will be to call on the power of the Holy Spirit to open the hearts of women through love.
With that same mindset, Bobbie Bradley will be sharing the story of her personal journey of faith. Through the many ministries she has been involved with in the Diocese of Camden, Bradley said she realizes that many women feel hopeless because of circumstances in their lives that seem insurmountable. It is her hope to empower women to rely on their faith to confidently face the challenges of life.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. with Mass. The main celebrant and homilist will be Father Timothy Byerley, pastor of Mary, Queen of All Saints Parish. He will share what Blessed Pope John Paul II had to say about the feminine genius in his encyclical Mulieris Dignitatem (On the Dignity and Vocation of Women).
As the vice postulator of the cause of beatification and canonization of the Servant of God Maria Esperanza, Father Byerley says he has profoundly experienced the powerful way in which God can work through a woman who is fully open to the transformation of his abiding love.
Msgr. Michael Mannion, who ministers to those wounded by trauma, especially from abortion, will close out the day with a healing service centered around exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Registration is required. Download a registration form at www.maryqueenofallsaints.org. You may also contact Cheryl Foti at 513-515-6697 or email eventforwomen@gmail.com.
