Since early December, the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal in Atlantic City have been working diligently Monday through Thursday nights to make Saint Michael’s Quaremba Hall feel a bit like a home. With the help of volunteers, the sisters make beds and meals and offer the city’s homeless a safe space to rest, share camaraderie and pray, if they wish. Open until March 10, the shelter – located behind Saint Michael Church, the Parish of Saint Monica, is always in need of help, supplies or donations. For more, call 609-343-1545.
