Bishop Dennis Sullivan was honored for his work with ArchCare, the health care ministry of the Archdiocese of New York.
At the ArchCare Gala held at Gotham Hall, New York, on Oct. 29, the bishop was presented with the Florence Eisenberg Board Leadership Award.
The bishop was honored for “his vision and the indelible mark he left on ArchCare’s work as a longtime member of its board of trustees,” said Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan of New York, who offered congratulatory remarks.
The award is named for Florence J. Eisenberg, who held several positions at ArchCare, from 1992 until her retirement, as assistant to the president, in 2008. She continued to serve as liaison to the Board of Trustees until her death in 2012.
