On the feast of Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist, Bishop Joseph A. Williams celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit with the students, faculty and administration of Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill. During his homily Sept. 21, Bishop Williams talked to the students about Saint Matthew, his call to follow Jesus and what such a calling could mean for each one of them. “Is there someone out there waiting for God’s call to follow Him?” Bishop Williams asked. “If you say yes, beautiful things can happen.”

In addition to receiving a present from Camden Catholic students, the Bishop – along with Dr. Bill Watson, diocesan superintendent of Catholic schools – visited with principal Heather Crisci; president James Hozier; Msgr. Andrew Martin, president emeritus; and Father Carlo Santa Teresa, director of Catholic Identity. While enjoying refreshments, some students even talked with Bishop Williams about their favorite Wawa orders before discussing the start of the school year and their potential college plans.
