The Sr. Dorothy’s Prayer Shawl Ministry of Our Lady of Hope Parish recently received a blessing from Bishop Joseph Williams as the group worked on their craft at their Blackwood parish. Now in its 10th year, this group of 13 women meet every Thursday at the parish center. Their crocheted items have been donated to veterans, rehab centers, nursing homes, VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services Diocese of Camden and the nonprofit Unforgotten Haven.
Their baby blankets and hats have been donated to NICUs at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Inspira, as well as to parishes in the Diocese that sponsor baby showers for women who they have accompanied during pregnancy.
