Over the past 32 years, Carl Peters, former Managing Editor, has been honored by the Catholic Press (now Catholic Media) Association for his work. Here are just some of the accolades he has received:

Best Personality Profile (Non Weekly Diocesan Newspaper, Circulation 25,001 or More)

First Place: “A Young Woman Others See As ‘A Holy Person’” (2020)

Third Place: Longtime Diocesan CFO (2019)

Best Editorial on a Local Issue (17,001-40,000 circulation diocesan paper)

First Place: Something of the Eternal, Painted with Bright Colors (2001)

Best Coverage: Immigration Package

Second Place: “At An Immigration Hearing in Trenton, 1947” (2020)

In addition, Peters and staff won first place, public service weekly division, for “Clergy sexual abuse: the diocesan response” from the Philadelphia Press Association in 2002.
