Charismatic Conference to be held in Wildwood next month

The 23rd Annual Charismatic Conference will be held on Friday, Oct. 7 to Sunday, Oct. 9 at the Wildwood Convention Center, with different presentations geared for adults, high school youth and junior high youth.

The conference encourages groups, families and individuals to attend and allow themselves to be transformed by the Holy Spirit during the weekend.

The theme this year is “You Are Precious In My Eyes, I Will Not Leave You (Isaiah 43:4).”

There will be praise and worship, daily Mass, reconciliation, healing prayer, Eucharistic Exposition, and Benediction.

Conference leaders for the adult track include musician Martin Doman, who will lead praise and worship; Ralph Martin, president of Renewal Ministries, an organization devoted to Catholic renewal and evangelization; and Father Ariel Hernandez, pastor, Holy Cross Parish, Bridgeton, and Father Rene Canales, vicar for Hispanics, Diocese of Camden.

The high school youth track will be led by CatholicFX, a music ministry dedicated to opening youth to experience the “FX” of being Catholic.

Sandy Scheiner, supported by members of the Family of God Prayer Community from St. Andrew the Apostle in Gibbsboro, will lead the junior high youth track.

Music, skits, and other activities will also be used in this track.

Other highlights include an Adoration Chapel, religious book store items from the conference speakers, and conference apparel and tables from various religious organizations.
