The Knights of Columbus Sancta Familia Council #11498 is hosting an upcoming Knights Weekend to honor the nation’s military, and support the Red Cross and its need for blood donations.

Flags for Forgotten Veterans
Nov. 9, 11 a.m.
A service to honor forgotten veterans will be held at Washington Lake Park (626 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Sewell) for people to unite in the commitment to erase the stigma surrounding mental health; to foster understanding, and to remind veterans that they are not alone. Among those scheduled to attend the service are dignitaries from the community and county, the Washington Township Police and Fire Department, and the Knights of Columbus Color Corp, Color Guard and assembly/council members. In addition, there will be 660 flags placed on the grounds.
Showcase for America: Honoring Heroes
Nov. 10, 7 p.m.
This variety show at the Aquin Center, Church of the Holy Family (226 Hurffville Road, Sewell), sponsored by the Bishop Schad Assembly and Sancta Familia Council, will raise funds to support veterans and active military. Among those to perform are The Patti Lattanzi & Billy Carlucci Show, Randy Ruffin, Joey Vincent, Philly Cuzz, Allison Martino, Felicia Wilkins & Holy Family’s own The Voice SK Michael Jones, Sophia Lanzalotti & The Difference. Food will be available from Aversa’s Italian Bakery, Mission Barbecue, Meloni’s Butcher Block, Matteo’s, Randazzo’s Bistro and Trim Rite Meats.

Red Cross Blood Drive
Nov. 12, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
A blood drive will be held at Church of Holy Family’s Aquin Center, with Sancta Familia Council members serving as greeters and support staff for the Red Cross. For more information, visit redcrossblood.org.
